My name is Safiatou OUEDRAOGO. I currently live in Kaya, in
the province Sanmantinga. I work in
APIL as an accountant and trainer.
Je me nome Safiatou OUEDRAOGO, je
vis à Kaya dans la province du Sanmantinga. Je travaille à APIL comme
secrétaire comptable et animatrice.
I have worked with APIL since 2013 and during this time I
have been able to develop my knowledge of the agriculture industry, here in
Burkina Faso. Working with APIL has meant I have enjoyed experiencing the rural
side of Burkina Faso, something I had not seen prior to working for APIL. In
particular, I have gained a greater awareness of the technicalities concerning
agriculture and the environment.
Ma collaboration avec APIL date de
2013 et elle m’a permis de développer de nombreuses qualités
dont l’ouverture d’esprit, la connaissance des termes techniques du milieu
à travers les différentes formations, de voyager et de connaitre mieux le
Burkina Faso. Elle m’a surtout permis de pénétrer le monde rural qui m’était
étranger étant secrétaire comptable de formation. Travailler à APIL est très
passionnant et instructif.
Although, my job at APIL is exciting and interesting
sometimes we face difficulties. Working so closely with the farmers means that
problems we encounter are mostly related to problematic terrain and climatic
conditions. For example, during the rainy season, certain areas are
inaccessible whilst at other times it is too dry, this can cause many problems
for the farmers.
Les difficultés auxquelles je fais
face dans l’exercice de mes fonctions a APIL sont surtout liés au fait que je
suis agent de terrain et souvent nous rencontrons des problèmes liés surtout au
relief et aux conditions climatiques comme par exemple l’inaccessibilité de
certaines zones en saisons pluvieuse. C’est surtout cela notre principale
difficulté.
My biggest
wish for APIL is to increase the number of partners interested in aiding
impoverished rural areas. Increasing the
number of partners means that we can gain more resources and consequently reach
more provinces within Burkina Faso. This is of significance because there are
many producers and villages who want to participate in APIL programs but limits
concerning our funding means everyone cannot join.
Notre souhait pour améliorer le
travail que nous abattons a APIL est d’avoir avoir plus de partenaires qui
s’intéressent au monde paysan afin que nous puissions toucher plus de localités
car à ce jour il y a beaucoup de demandes de producteurs et de villages
désirants adhérer aux programmes de APIL mais compte tenu des limites de nos
financements nous ne pouvons hélas pas les joindre tous dans notre programme.
I know that APIL will continue to be an effective NGO far
into the future. It’s clear that the work APIL does to improve the livelihood
of rural populations has been successful but I hope we can promote the importance
of organic produce as it could truly revolutionise our country, in terms of sustainable
development. We have great partners to
support us in this long process of development and I can’t wait to see the
progress of APIL’s work.
Je souhaite une très longue vie à
l’ONG APIL pour continuer à aider les populations rurales dans leur quête de
mieux être mais aussi dans leur promotion des productions Bio, chose qui
pourrait vraiment révolutionner notre pays en termes de développement durable.
Ceci dit vivement qu’on ait plus de
partenaires pour nous appuyer dans ce long processus de développement, je suis APIL
!!!
